Fabiano Caruana winner of Biel Young GM tournament!

The 43rd Intenational Biel Chess Festival took place from the 17th until the 30th of July 2010.

Ten young distinguished players competed in this year's grandmaster tournament:
Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (FRA, 2723), Evgeny Tomashevsky (RUS, 2708), Fabiano Caruana (ITA, 2697), Wesley So (PHI, 2674), Anish Giri (NED, 2672), Dmitry Andreikin (RUS, 2650), David Howell (ENG, 2616), Parimarjan Negi (IND, 2615), Maxim Rodshtein (ISR, 2609), Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son (VIE, 2617).

Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Fabiano Caruana all finished on 5.5/9. Caruana beat Vachier-Lagrave in the semi-final 2-1. The final match between Caruana and Nguyen ended in favour of the Italian young grandmaster who beat his adversary 1.5-0.5.
